Private Training
Private training is available for individuals and groups. Special equipment and space, although helpful, is not necessary. We will will create a custom exercise and wellness program based on individual fitness levels, needs and resources. Please contact Chesna for additional information. Due to scheduling demands and limited availability, only serious prospects will be considered for private training.
Boot Camps
The boot camp workout is designed to build strength and maximize fat loss through a combination of cardiovascular, resistance, interval and flexibility training. Exercises are modified depending on the individual so classes are suitable for adults of all ages and fitness levels.
Participants will receive a brief physical assessment at the beginning and at the end of each program. The assessment will include bodyfat, weight and girth measurements. Prospective participants are required to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire prior to bootcamp and all individuals will need a physician's clearance in order to participate.
Currently, boot camp classes are scheduled to begin in mid September, 2010.
Fitness for Kids
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, childhood obesity is now one of the most chronic health problems faced by American children. Currently, one in three children between the ages of 2 and 19 is overweight or obese. Low income children in general, Mexican American children and black and Hispanic girls, more specifically, have higher rates of obesity than other children.
Left unabated, the problem of childhood obesity will have far-reaching implications. The Centers for Disease Control estimates that three out of four overweight children will become overweight adults and will suffer from obesity-related diseases at earlier ages than previous generations. As a result of this epidemic, and for the first time in history, an entire generation of children could have shorter life spans than their parents.
